A STUDENT due to sit final exams in six weeks' time is desperately seeking her notes after they were stolen from a car.
The rear window of a Honda FRV was broken on Saturday afternoon while it was parked at Pimlico, in Durham.
Student Anne-Marie Downes tweeted: "Finals are in six weeks’ time and I really need my lecture, tutorial and revision notes. I am hoping that whoever stole my bag will have removed the electronics and then dumped the rest somewhere - we found my pencil case in a nearby bush but unfortunately nothing else."
As well as a laptop, a bag containing notes on philosophy, politics, ethics, and international relations.
She added: " I can replace electronics but I can’t replace that work, not this close to exams."
It happened sometime between 12pm and 3pm and was reported to Durham Police at 3.20pm.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Due to the nature of the items taken, they are likely of little value to the culprit, but their loss has caused significant distress to the victim.
“We encourage anyone who has any information regarding the theft to contact Durham Police on 101, quoting incident number 265 of April 7.”
