A TEAM of bus drivers have given a charity a belated Christmas treat.
During December, bus drivers at Stagecoach's Stockton bus depot swapped their uniforms for festive costumes in a bid to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
Thanks to the generosity from passengers, £1,863 was collected, with the people of Teesside digging deep into their pockets and the bus company boosting the monies raised to £2,000.
Bus driver Geordie Richardson, 26, from Stockton said: “We would like to thank our passengers for supporting us and giving as generously as they did on their travels and hope we made their journey a little more fun and festive.”
In total six drivers took part in the fundraising campaign.
