CAST members of a popular pantomime have taken time out of their hectic schedule to drop into a hospice where they handed over a cheque for the money they have collected during its hugely-successful run in Darlington.

The stars of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs swapped the stage of the Hippodrome Theatre for St Teresa's Hospice to bring a smile to the faces of residents.

The cheque for £3,000 was presented the stars of the show, including the Henchman, Patrick Monahan; Mrs Crumble, Eric Potts and Liam Mellor, who stars as Muddles.

As well as presenting the cheque the cast spent time chatting with residents and staff before enjoying a sing-a-long of 'Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho its off to work we go' orchestrated by comedian Patrick Monahan.

The pantomime, which closes at the weekend, has wowed thousands of theatre-goers since it opened on December 9.

Tickets for the remaining performances of the pantomime are available from www.darlingtonhippodrome.co.uk
