TWO vehicles were stolen from a property in a rural County Durham village on New Year’s Eve.
A white Land Rover Range Rover and a Volkswagen Transporter were taken after the keys were taken from inside the home in Trimdon Grange, near Sedgefield.
No-one was in the property at the time of burglary which was reported at 9pm on Sunday, December 31.
A Durham Police spokesperson said the white Range Rover was found burnt out in the Peterlee area but the Volkswagen Transporter has not yet been recovered.
A pedal cycle and jewellery to a value unknown was also stolen from the property.
Anyone with information about the incident or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious should call non-emergency 101 and quote reference number 355 of December 31, 2017.
