TWO cathedral choristers will perform the Walking in the Air solo accompanied by full orchestra when The Snowman returns to Durham Cathedral next week.
Liliana Banev and Tiger Li are swapping singing traditional church music for the performance of the haunting work on Friday.
The two were selected by audition for the thrilling experience of working in the cathedral with Carrot Productions’ professional orchestra of hand-picked, first-class musicians.
The young performers have attracted sell-out performances to all of the big screen showings of the much-loved film.
Tiger is the soloist at the 3pm showing, while Liliana takes the role for the 12.30pm and 7pm showings.
Alongside The Snowman, Carrot Productions are bringing to Durham an exclusive animation to accompany Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite.
This vivid creation by Tom Scott features alongside Dan Whibley’s Festive Guide to the Orchestra, assuring an entertaining evening for all.
