TWO university bands are teaming up to put on a concert of festive music in the lead up to Christmas.

Durham University’s Concert Band (DUCB) and Brass Band (DUBB) are putting on their 12 days ‘til Christmas concert on Wednesday, December 13.

It will take place at Durham Town Hall, in Market Place, and will feature performances of traditional carols and Christmas music.

Publicity officer Charlotte Clews said: “Led by the fantastic conductors Chloe Langham for DUCB and Jonathan Fenwick and Sean Moran for DUBB, this concert will be a magnificent marriage of two first-rate ensembles as they come together to celebrate Christmas.

“So grab your woolly coats and scarves, and come along on the 13th December for what promises to be a magical evening of sleigh bells and jubilation.”

DUBB recently won the UniBrass shield competition

Mince pies and mulled wine will be served at the end of the concert.

Doors open at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £7 for adults, £6 for children and £5 for Music Durham members.
