CURTAINS open at the City Theatre next week for the latest performance from Durham’s Dramatic Society.

Members of the amateur dramatics group are preparing to take centre stage in Ladies' Day from November 26 to December 2.

The show, directed by Caroline Chapman, is set amid the glamour, culture and sporting excitement of Ascot, when four fish packers from Hull decide they want to join in the action.

Durham’s Dramatic Society perform five productions a year at the City Theatre, which can hold up to 71 people.

The show begins at 2.30pm on November 26 and 7.30pm on November 27 to December 2.
