Bank of England Governor Mark Carney holds a new plastic £5 note
WHATEVER is happening to our currency? The new £5 and £10 notes are dreadful – Monopoly money. No doubt the £20 notes will follow suit and it wouldn’t surprise me if we end up with £5 and £10 coins.
And the new pound coins look like spruced up old threepenny pieces.
Perhaps I’m old fashioned but I prefer our currency the way it used to be – pun not intended –but is this change for the sake of change?
