FOLLOWING a report on page 29 of Tuesday, April 4's Northern Echo, we have been asked to make clear that a taxi driver who had his licence revoked by Hambleton District Council's licensing appeals panel has appealed against the decision.
The driver, who was identified only as Driver D, had his licence revoked after an investigation into complaints that he was aggressive, verbally provocative and abusive towards other drivers in an incident in Thirsk Market Place. He is allowed to carry on driving his taxi pending the outcome of the appeal, which will be heard by magistrates.
