A DARLINGTON man sustained serious injuries in an unprovoked attack.
The 28-year-old man sustained a broken jaw in three places, two knocked out teeth, various cuts and bruises and swelling to the face.
The assault took place on Hollyhurst Road in Darlington on Friday, December 16 between 7.30pm and 8pm in the evening.
The victim was attacked from behind by an unknown person or persons when he reached the Denes, near the junction with Willow Road.
- Durham Constabulary has urged anyone who may have been in the area or witnessed anything suspicious to contact 101 and quote incident number 0336 of 16th December. They should contact PC Paul Cooper.
