NINJA knitters are needed for a top secret project set to put a smile on the faces of Darlington residents.
Age UK Darlington needs creative crafters to join them in working with the police and fire services on a mysterious project.
On Monday, November 14, a group of knitters will take their needles to Three4 Darlington where the mystery will be unravelled.
Gillian Peel, chief executive of Age UK Darlington, could not reveal the nature of the project but hinted that it would come as a pleasant surprise to the people of Darlington.
She said: “This has to stay top secret for now but we need help working on it.
“We need volunteers to knit and to bring along any blue wool they may have to help us.”
Anyone interested in contributing to the mystery project should take their knitting needles along to Three4 Darlington on Priestgate at 1pm on Monday.
