MUSIC lovers are in for a treat next week with a free open air concert in central Middlesbrough.

All are invited to join Streetwise Opera’s Middlesbrough performers for a fun and inspiring opera concert including excerpts from Don Giovanni.

Streetwise Opera is an award-winning charity that uses music to help people make positive changes in their lives.

A spokesman for Middlesbrough Borough Council involved in promoting the event said: “Working with people who have experienced homelessness and other members of the community, the charity runs workshop programmes across England and stages critically-acclaimed operas.”

Streetwise Opera’s Lunchtime Concert will take place in Middlesbrough Centre Square as part of the 2016 Discover Middlesbrough festival. It will be staged takes place from 1pm to 1.30pm on Friday, October 21.
