A PARISH council's plea for 100 yards of footpath to be created on a narrow road is unlikely to move up North Yorkshire County Council's list of priorities.
A report to the council's Richmondshire area committee says the low number of people who walk along Bedale Road, Scotton, near Catterick Garrison, will be considered when capital schemes are re-assessed.
The parish council wants a 100-yard gap in the footpath, including a bridge over a beck, to be filled, but the scheme ranks only 113th in the county and 12th in Richmondshire.
The priority list will be reviewed in October, but surveys showed few people walk the route.
