A POLICE car was damaged when it was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra while answering a call in Darlington on Sunday night.
The vehicles collided at traffic lights at the junction of Greenbank Road and Woodland Road, close to the town centre.
It is understood the police patrol car had been responding to a call on the opposite side of the town. The police vehicle's blue flashing light bar was activated.
Both vehicles came to a halt in the middle of the junction.
No one was seriously injured in the collision, although both vehicles sustained bodywork damage.
