FORMER Beano and Dandy illustrator Keith Robson held a drawing session with children and adults at an event at Stockton Library to celebrate Free Comic Book Day.

Among the activities was a chance for children to learn to draw their favourite superhero, make a superhero mask and pick up a free comic book.

Mr Robson has been a professional artist since the 1960s and previously worked for DC Comic. He is best known for his illustrations in the famous Beano and Dandy comic and he now runs drawing and illustration workshops across the UK.

Libraries across the borough of Stockton - including Billingham, Fairfield, Ingleby Barwick and Thornaby, were also giving away free comic books to children and youngsters at the weekend.
