SCHOOL pupils were treated to an end-of-term pop concert today (Thursday, July 16).
Youngsters at Durham Johnston School, Durham City enjoyed a performance by 18-year-old singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Max Restaino.
The Sheffield-based star is undertaking a UK schools tour, playing to more than 5,000 children.
Youngsters in Durham watched him perform, before he invited some up on stage to help him out.
Max was “discovered” by producer and songwriter Eliot Kennedy and has collaborated with Donny Osmond, Olly Murs, Geri Halliwell and comic Peter Kay.
A spokesman said: “With his Northern charm and sparkle, sensational vocals and his gifted songwriting abilities, Max is Sheffield’s most exciting and brightest rising star.”
