PLANS to create a new taxi rank next to Durham's Walkergate pub and restaurant complex look set to win approval next week.
The city council's cabinet will be advised to back plans to allow taxis to wait on the slip road from the A690 to Claypath, and to alter the existing rank in Claypath. Since opening late last year the complex has become the heart of the city's nightlife.
