WORLD class tribute acts will descend on the region for a three day music festival next week.

Michael Jackson by Ben, Complete Madness and the Bryan Adams Experience are among those performing at the Wannasee Live Music Tribute Festival at Bishop Auckland Football Club’s stadium, Heritage Park, on Saturday, May 23.

Other acts confirmed for the Saturday include Rolling Stones by The Stones, Take That and Robbie by Rule the World, Blondie by Heart of Glass and Beautiful South and The Housemartins by The South Martins.

On Sunday, May 24, meanwhile, music lovers can enjoy tributes to AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Aerosmith, Kings of Leon, Whitesnake, Metallica and Manic Street Preachers.

Tickets for either the Saturday or Sunday cost £18 for adults, £8.50 for young adults, aged 14 to 17-year-old, and free for children aged 13 or under. There is an additional charge of £4.50 (£3.75 for young adults, £2.25 for children) to camp.

Weekend tickets cost £25 for adults, £13 for young adults and free for children, with camping priced at £9, £7.50 and £4.50 respectively.

And, as a further treat, on Friday, May 22 The Long Tall Beatles will entertain all ticket holders for free with their salute to the Fab Four, with support from local bands.

Campers can also stay on Friday night for free with a valid camping ticket.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult with a ticket.

Gates open at 5pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday and Sunday.
