FIFTEEN pigeons were killed in a blaze on Teesside.
The cause of Thursday night's fire in Aberdare Road, Grangetown, near Middlesbrough, is being treated as accidental.
A wood stove left unattended is blamed for the fire which started in a storage shed and spread to the smaller of two pigeon lofts.
Fire fighters arrived at the scene in time to stop flames reaching a main loft holding about 50 birds.
