ASSAULT FINE: Emma Louise Colling, 21, of Acacia Gardens in Crook has been fined £90 and ordered to pay £150 compensation, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge, after admitting assaulting a youth, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, on October 25 in Crook.

MEETING CANCELLED: The Bishop Auckland and Shildon Area Action Partnership meeting due to take place on Thursday, May 16, has been cancelled due to it being too soon after the local elections meaning membership of the board will not be finalised in time. Coordinator Andrew Walker apologised for any inconvenience and said it would be rescheduled soon.

SMASHED WINDOWS: Police are appealing for witnesses after a window was smashed to the rear of York Close in Leeholme on Tuesday (April 30). Unknown persons threw an object at around 4pm at a kitchen window causing the outer pane to crack. Anyone with any information should contact PC Jamie Pitt on 101.

SHED ATTEMPT: Damage has been caused to a shed door in a garden on Ashcroft gardens, Bishop Auckland between noon and 4pm on Sunday (April 28). It is believed the damage was caused by someone trying to get in to the wooden shed, although no items have been caused. Information should be reported PC Natalie Winter on 101.
