A SPECIAL anniversary production of the Rocky Horror Show is heading to a North-East theatre this summer.
The brand new production celebrates the iconic show’s 40th anniversary and will take to the Darlington Civic Theatre stage from July 22 to July 27.
Dani Harmer, best known for her starring role in the children’s television series Tracy Beaker, plays squeaky-clean Janet Weiss in Richard O’Brien’s lively tale of the dubious happenings in an isolated castle.
Her fiancé will be played by Ben Forster, winner of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s national search for the lead role in the revival of his musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
Oliver Thornton - winner of Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his role in Priscilla Queen of the Desert - takes on the role of cross-dressing mad scientist Frank N Furter, while Phillip Franks of Heartbeat fame plays the narrator.
