A BIKER was airlifted to hospital after suffering back and neck injuries at around noon on Saturday.
The 23-year-old, from Consett, County Durham, came off his Yamaha 125, on the B6306, near Slaley Hall, over the county boundary in Northumberland.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called by North-East Ambulance Service paramedics to assist them and the man was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
His injuries were described as ‘non life-threatening’ and his condition was described as ‘stable’.
