DETECTIVES hunting two men wanted in connection with a suspected multi-million pound drugs ring have renewed their appeal for information.

Operation Cobweb rounded up 25 suspected drug dealers from across Teesside and Greater Manchester last week but two managed to evade capture and are still on the run.

More than 320 officers from the Cleveland and Greater Manchester Police forces carried out a series of dawn raids.

The investigation has seen 18 people being charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Cleveland Police released images of the two men they are looking for.

Robert Hickman, 27, who is originally from South Bank but has extensive contacts across the Cleveland and Manchester areas, is described as 5ft 10in, of medium build and with a noticeably misshapen and shortened right arm.

Ricky Beresford, 23, from the Stockton area but recently been living in Bishop Auckland, is known locally as "Beevis" and is described as 5ft 8in and of heavy build. He is of Asian appearance with receding black hair and facial hair.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Detectives are still looking for the two men suspected of involvement in drug dealing as part of Operation Cobweb and we would call on the public to help us to locate them both.”

Anyone with information regarding the two wanted men is asked to call Cleveland Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555-111.
