STAFF and customers at a busy supermarket got in the Red Nose Day-spirit with a day of fundraising.
Energetic volunteers were left with natural red faces after a two hour Zumbathon led by instructor Jan Vickers at Sainsbury’s, in St Helen Auckland, Bishop Auckland, today (Friday, March 15).
Staff dressed as super heroes collected donations from generous shoppers and customers were encouraged to take part a number fundraisers, including a Malteser chopstick challenge.
Team leader Sue Palmer also spent the day doing a sponsored silence.
Nicky Dixon, of Sainsbury’s said both staff and shoppers had got into the spirit of the day.
The store will ocntinue its fundraising tomorrow (Saturday).
