A BUSY town centre became the setting for an impromptu Zumba class as fitness fans launched into a mass dance to raise funds for Comic Relief.
Shoppers in Darlington gathered in Joseph Pease Place to watch as about 30 members from Fit-Lab fitness classes launched into a Zumba flashmob in aid of Comic Relief.
James Wilkinson, a Zumba instructor at Fit-Lab, led the performers as they danced for three songs before returning to their normal business. He said: “It has been great and the support from everyone in the town has been really good.
“We’re really pleased it didn’t rain either.”
Fit-Lab run exercise classes at the Dolphin Centre, the Education Village and Hummersknott Academy, all in Darlington, and the Belvedere Club, in Bishop Auckland.
