NORTH-East artists are transforming a passageway under a former railway arch into a contemporary exhibition space.
Carlo Viglianisi and Nick Maylan, of Durham-based arts group Empty Shop, are curating Arch@Sleeperz, an exhibition of light-based art and cityscape photography in part of Sleeperz Hotel, in Newcastle.
Sleeperz Hotels turns unusual places close to main line railway stations into budget hotels.
This space used to be an arch under the East Coast line between Edinburgh and London.
The display includes light-based sculptures by Durham-based Mick Stephenson and a photo-essay by photographer Steve Mayes.
Arch@Sleeperz will be open to the public from Thursday, February 21. Entry is free. For more information, visit sleeperz.com
