Police are appealing for information after the theft of items of horse tack.
The haul of riding equipment was taken in a break-in at an outhouse in Teesdale Avenue, Penshaw, on Wearside, between noon on Thursday, December 6 and 9.15am on Monday (December 10).
Among the items stolen were two horse saddles, a red horse rug, two pairs of riding boots, in sizes six and seven, a blue and white checked horse rug, a green and white horse rug, a black Harry Hall riding hat, three pairs of Russian riding boots and two bridles.
Inspector Lisa Musgrove, of Northumbria Police’s Penshaw neighbourhood team, asked anyone with information on the theft to come forward.
“I would urge anyone who is offered any equipment for sale, or who may have any information where it might be, to let us know as soon as possible.”
Insp Musgrove added that inquiries into the burglary are "ongoing".
