THE Mayor of Chilton, Coun Elizabeth Bruce, is inviting residents to join her for a cuppa when she hosts a charity coffee morning.
It will be held in the lounge at Chilton Workingmen’s Club, on Thursday, November 29, from 10am to noon.
Refreshments, freshly baked scones and cakes will be available and a tombola.
All proceeds will be donated to the Mayor’s chosen charities which are the Great North Air Ambulance and organisations within the town.

CHRISTMAS FAIR: St Aidan's Church, in Chilton, will host a Christmas fair on Saturday, November 24, which will be opened by Rev Jon Bell at 2.30pm. There will be a cake stall, tombola and grand raffle, arts and crafts, books, bric a brac, toys, flower displays, plants, a Fairtrade stall and refreshments.
PRODUCE SALE: Henderson Community House, Coleridge Road, Chilton, runs a food co-op selling fresh, affordable fruit and vegetables every Tuesday, 10.30am to 3pm. For details call 01388-720152.
