A NEW luxury hotel and wellness retreat opening in Ripon this spring is looking to take on 200 members of staff in all areas.

The magnificent Grade II* building of Grantley Hall dates back to the 17th Century and has hosted royalty, Members of Parliament, celebrities and socialites, and has also been painted by many artists including LS Lowry.

It was bought by its current owner, Valeria Sykes, in 2015, whose vision is to create a future legacy for this Yorkshire landmark, provide employment and career opportunities within the local area, and to support the local economy.

Valeria is passionate about history and the arts, and has a successful track record of restoring beautiful old country houses to their former glory and ensuring their history lives on.

Following a multi-million-pound restoration and extension, Grantley Hall will open in Spring 2019 as a luxury, 47-bedroomed country house hotel, and will have seven drinking and dining venues including a pan-Asian restaurant and Champagne and cocktail bar, as well as a wedding and banqueting suite, a number of private events spaces and a spa.

Staff are being recruited to work in all disciplines, including front of house, the gardens, ELITE, Three Graces Spa, housekeeping, food and beverage and facilities.

The Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall fine-dining restaurant has developed a successful partnership with the Michelin-starred chef, and the hotel’s chefs will get the opportunity to work alongside him and in his kitchen.
