Comments by the owners:

140 Front Street Statement

Our house is situated in and overlooks on a lovely tree-lined street. Inside we have the benefit of many traditional features such as the gas lamp in the hall, the staircase and the original wood paneling in the dining room, not to mention the beamed ceilings.

The log burner makes it warm and cosy on those colder days and using the open fire to roast chestnuts at Christmas, as well as toast teacakes, adds to the charm of this house and for some wonderful memories.

The appeal of being able to use the rooms for a versatile living certainly works for us. This means we can both indulge our passions whether it be a work out in the gym room, reading in the book room or simply having the ability to sit comfortably and watch different TV programs in different rooms, yet still having space for all the family and friends to visit.

We have loved living in this characteristic and delightful property seeped in history - Alf White (James Herriot Author) lived here for a time when it was known as Blakey View with his in-laws and we are sure it will bring pleasure to its new occupants.
