Directions From Newby Bridge at the foot of Lake Windermere, follow the A590 in the direction of Ulverston. Passing through Backbarrow and then into Haverthwaite, you will pass the Haverthwaite Railway Attraction and continue for another ¼ mile and at the next cross road junction turn left sign posted for Holker Hall and Cark. Follow the road along through the short wooded section and past the bus stop before bearing left down the hill. You will shortly see the property on the left hand side just before the old railway bridge.
