FOUND in The Northern Echo archives are some really interesting pictures from the early days of Darlington's Skerne Park, a council estate planned in 1958 as a response to the post-war housing shortage.
Pictures of the Park are rare, but these show its earliest days – and weren't the original streetlamps, in the shape of a question mark, gorgeous?
