CALLING all Love Island fans, this bar will be screening the popular TV show on a big screen.

The Dickens in Middlesbrough announced, in a post that went viral, yesterday that they would be screening episodes of Love Island in their beer garden.

On Facebook they said: "We might have the answer to all your messages girls!

"A Twitter post has been circling today calling for pubs to show Love Island on the screens which are currently showing the Euro’s.

The Northern Echo:

"Now we only think it’s fair to cater to everyone’s needs so starting next Monday 28th our Dickens 2 garden will be showing Love Island on the big screen!

"Our canopy will be out, fire pits will be lit for those chats and phones will be on loud for those ‘I’ve got a text’ moments.

"Message our page to book now for free, but please note days where England are playing at 8pm we will not be showing Love Island. All other football matches will be shown in our main bar.

"Girls you bring the blankets we’ll provide the cocktails!"

The Northern Echo:

Julie Spensley who owns The Dickens with her husband Tony and son Jack, said: "The Facebook page has gone a bit crazy. We put the post out 16 hours ago, it's now had 94,000 people reached, it's had 915 comments and 296 shares.

"It's quite bizarre really that there's that much interest. We're trying to give a message to the girls, obviously the Euro's are on and we're shpowing all the football on the screens - and I just think the football for some girls just isn't appealing, whereas Love Island definitely appeals.

"We've been inundated with messages. We're fully booked up in the garden now. We've got 24 tables in there I believe. We've got another garden called Dickens 2 courtyard.

"It's just a bit of fun really.

The Northern Echo:

"The gardens look a lot different from before lockdown as we've put a lot more tables in there.

"We've put all new furniture in there.

"We will be showing all the football, it won't be overtaking the football. And if England are playing we won't be showing Love Island, because people do want to watch the England matches.

"The majority of the comments say that this is amazing."
