This is a stunningly beautiful and thoughtful album. The trio, with Battaglia on piano, Salvatore Maiore (bass) and Roberto Dani (drums), is perfectly balanced and the music, all by Battaglia, is both structured and improvised.
The booklet includes text which inspired the music, including Tolkien, Bacon and Sioux.
