IF you’re anything like me, you’ll have collected special albums or special songs… the ones that you never get tired of listening to.

One of my favourites has to be from a prestigious, award-winning Canadian country artist, Michelle Wright, and He Would Be Sixteen, with which she had a hit in the Nineties.

Many years before that I was sent an album called Do Right By Me and the vocals and music were so good that I made it Album Of The Week on a radio show I was then presenting.

Not so long ago, a new offering, Every Thing And More, seemed destined to be my choice of Female Album Of The Year.

As we get closer to the festive season, the market floods with interpretations of Christmas classics. It is very rare that an album of this sort stands out, but Wright’s A Wright Christmas is one of the best.

From the opening track, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, through to the last note of White Christmas, she takes every song and makes it her own.

If you’re in a humbug mood, this is one album that will surround you with the Christmas glow. It’s available in your local store now.
