AN art hub is launching a creative writing course delivered by a renowned poet.

Creative writing workshops at Greenfield Arts in Newton Aycliffe will be led by writer Dani Watson.

She will focus on developing writing techniques and hopes to inspire ideas through creative games and practical tips.

The poet is based in Newcastle and has written pieces which include young adult fiction and Brexit poetry.

She is currently working on a short novel, which she writes between her day job and work as part of the backstage crew at a theatre.

The poet has previously written for Cuckoo Review, Cuckoo Chronicle and Isis Arts Newcastle.

The course is part of Greenfield Art's summer programme which will explore the ways youngsters express ideas and develop their voice.

It will run on Friday, June 14, and Friday, June 21, from 1pm to 3pm.

The sessions are suitable for all abilities and cost £25 for both workshops.
