CD Review

Milne-Glendinning Band - MGB The song-writing partnership of vocalist Debra Milne and guitarist Steve Glendinning has been documented with the release of an EP featuring their quartet comprising Katy Trigger, bass, and drummer Nik Alevroyannis. Five tracks, one of which, Soulmate, is a Milne-Bradley Johnston composition, focus upon Milne’s considered lyrics supported by Glendinning’s guitar accompaniment. The quartet will play an EP launch gig on Wednesday October 3rd at Charts on Newcastle Quayside (8pm).

Twenty not out! - The Rae Brothers have been playing their brand of New Orleans jazz in Springwell, Gateshead every Wednesday for twenty years. On September 26 you are invited to celebrate the milestone with the band and guests at Springwell Village Community Venue (8.15pm).

Coming up - The Lazy River Band comes to Darlington on Saturday 6 October as

the guest of Darlington New Orleans Jazz Club. Led by Chris Perrin, the band has a great pedigree as a dixieland/swing/ mainstream combo, and comes with a guarantee of a great afternoon of classic New Orleans jazz.
