RUBY slippers worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz have reportedly been found after 13 years, according to US authorities.

The slippers were said to be among the highest valued props in the film and were insured for $1m.

They were stolen from a Minnesota museum in 2005, following a break-in at the museum late at night.

It is unknown if the shoes' recovery is related to any tip-offs.

FBI special agent Joan Sanborn indicated the investigation was ongoing.

She said: "We've gathered lots of information on this case. We believe there's lots more to give."
