KOYO are Huw Edwards (lead vocals, guitar), Jacob Price (sampling, synthesisers), Seb Knee-Wright (guitars), Dan Comlay (bass) and Tom Higham (drums).

KOYO are a powerful and accomplished Leeds-based five-piece. Blending influences as wide as Ozric Tentacles and The Velvet Underground, My Bloody Valentine and Kurt Vile, they give the impression of being able to play just about anything. KOYO combine beautiful, melancholy vocals with intricate, powerful riffs and the poetry of Nick Drake. Sampling and synthesisers provide astral soundscapes, grounded by a gifted rhythm section. They are at once delicate and robust.

Following the critically-acclaimed release of their debut album almost one year ago, they have set alight the festival circuit. Starting with blistering performances at the Reading and Leeds festivals in 2017 they followed up in 2018 with Rockaway Beach, Live at Leeds, Camden Rocks, Sheffield Tramlines and Download (applauded in Prog magazine) as well as selling out venues during their April tour.

Now KOYO are set to embark on their headlining tour in September celebrating one year following the release of their debut album but also previewing exciting new material. Vocalist and guitarist Huw Edwards states “For us, this tour marks the point at which we close the first chapter and step into the next one.” To celebrate, with the exception of Leeds and London, all dates are FREE ENTRY.
