A HOUSEBUILDER has revealed a near 40-home development it hopes will bolster its English presence.

Robertson Homes says its Wynyard Woods scheme, based between Hartlepool and Stockton, will include four, five and six-bedroom detached properties.

Bosses at the business say they believe the estate will be a catalyst for growth in England, having built a reputation across Scotland over the last 50 years.

The company is part of the Robertson Group, which runs separate divisions in Seaham, east Durham, and Gateshead, and has further housing developments in North Tyneside and Northumberland.

Sharon Spinelli, sales and marketing director, said the company is looking forward to extending its regional presence further, hailing the potential of its Wynyard venture.

She said: “Our luxury homes are a real cut above anything local homebuyers may have seen previously.

While we’re still relatively new to England, we’ll be replicating the successful approach we’ve taken in Scotland for many years, which is focused on quality and exclusivity.

“Wynyard Village will be a truly stunning development and I’m confident it will attract similar high levels of interest to those we’re seeing in our other North-East developments.”

The Robertson Group includes a timber engineering division, which runs a base in Seaham and is known for supporting hotel operators’ expansion plans.

The business also runs Gateshead-based Robertson North-East, which oversees construction work and previously revealed it was supporting the regeneration of Whitley Bay’s Spanish City Dome.
