A NORTH-EAST photographer has taken to the roads to offer a professional portrait studio on wheels, following his experience shooting some of the biggest names in the Premier League and at London Fashion Week.

Jamie Tyerman, the entrepreneur behind PictureVan, is bringing the UK’s first professional portrait studio on wheels to the North-East and is coming directly to the doors of businesses to take headshots.

The 24-year-old has worked on clothing shoots for luxurious men’s store END Clothing. His photographs have also featured on Ted Baker campaigns and in 2018 he won the Anjool Maldé Photography Award for Commercial Photography.

He said: “The North-East is currently thriving with successful businesses and I’m excited to launch and begin work with them.

“PictureVan offers a unique understanding of what companies want. Providing businesses with creative and uniformed photography for their staff headshots.

“There aren’t many studios in the North-East that offer headshots as their main focus, having a travelling service with specific expertise in this area is a unique option for clients.”

After studying a degree in commercial photography at The Northern School of Art, Mr Tyerman shot at London Fashion Week, taking photos of many famous faces including Stormzy, Alexa Chung and McFly’s Dougie Poynter.

The photographer has also worked shooting at Premier League football games including teams such as Manchester City and Newcastle United. Jürgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho provided Jamie with many photo opportunities on the sidelines of football games.

Now Mr Tyerman, who lives in Yarm, is turning his attentions to the corporate world and hopes his eye-catching headshots will help raise the profile of companies across the North-East, before he looks to expand into other areas.

He added: “Because we come on site with our own ready-made studio it can be done quickly and efficiently in groups and there’s no waiting around.

“We offer really competitive rates and a very friendly service. Hopefully some of the businesses in the region will give us a try.”

PictureVan also offers videography for ‘talking heads’ style introductory videos of staff and can also provide product photography for ecommerce websites and restaurants.
