A NORTH YORKSHIRE gin producer now has 74 international awards after receiving three medals at the prestigious China Wine and Spirits Awards (CWSA)and four medals at the New York World Wine and Spirits Competition (NYWSC) – two of the biggest and most prestigious wine and spirits competitions globally.

Bedale-based Masons Gin’s Lavender Edition won gold at both competitions. Its Peppered Pear also won gold at the CWSA awards.

In addition, Masons Original won silver at both the CWSA and NYWSC and the Tea and Peppered Pear Editions both took home bronze at the NYWSC.

Masons Lavender edition has been in the range since 2015. The Peppered Pear edition was introduced as a ‘special edition’ at the Harrogate Christmas Market in 2017, but has now been added to the core range in a 5cl, 20cl and 70cl.

Both editions are made with distinctive and local botanicals and ingredients.

Cathy Mason, co-founder of Masons Yorkshire Gin, said: “Myself, Karl and the team work incredibly hard to ensure we continually produce the highest quality gin we possibly can. So We are really honoured to win four more medals at the CWSA and NYWSC awards.”
