THE developers of a new industrial estate have submitted a planning application for a drive-thru coffee outlet.

The application is for part of the Integra 61 development, at junction 61 of the A1(M), near Bowburn.

The developers have submitted an application to put a drive thru Costa and 52-space car park on the site, which will be accessed via the A688.

Work is underway on infrastructure for the 205 acre development.

Integra 61 has been billed as having the capacity to become the North-East's largest scale logistics and manufacturing development.

Among those lined up for the site in Amazon, which is expected to take on a 1,992,061 warehouse.

Outline planning permission has been granted for up to 270 houses, a 70-bed hotel , 60-bed care home, solar farm, industrial, storage and distribution warehouses, retail units, a restaurant/cafe/takeaway, pub, children's nursery, GP surgery and car showroom.

A detailed application for 170 of the homes was approved this month.
