A SOCIAL housing group has taken over a local building contractor as it continues its drive to deliver quality property.

Thirteen Homes has today announced it has acquired Hartlepool-based Gus Robinson Developments Limited.

As part of the deal, Thirteen has also pledged its support to the Gus Robinson Foundation, which helps local young people on their pathway to successful careers and sporting achievement.

Stephen Bell, managing director of Gus Robinson Developments, said: “Over the last five years, the business has become a major delivery partner to affordable housing providers and private developers in the North East. This work will continue and as part of Thirteen Group, I have no doubt that the business will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Ian Wardle, CEO of Thirteen Group, said: “As one of our long-standing construction partners we have always been impressed with the quality of homes delivered by Gus Robinson Developments and we are convinced that as part of Thirteen the company will flourish further and play a more significant role in the development of the North of England’s housing requirements for us and other organisations that need construction and building services.”
