THE whole year is full of reasons to celebrate – birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, saying ‘Thank you’ – and, of course, Christmas is just around the corner.

Giving a gift that will delight, resonate, and last, has been made so much easier with the selection of beautiful, art-inspired items on offer from celebrated North Yorkshire artist, Lucy Pittaway.

With a vision for creating beautiful, lasting gifts for every occasion, Lucy’s iconic art is being used on a range of goods such as mugs and plates, greeting cards and diaries, aprons and oven gloves, and calendars for all-year-round enjoyment.

Lucy says: “Our aim is to create wonderful bright and colourful artwork and gifts that simply make people smile, whatever the occasion.”

A new range of mounted Little Prints – miniature versions of many of her most popular paintings – are available from £49, with framed copies on sale from £94, providing a very affordable gift or piece of artwork for any home.

Lucy only took up painting full-time after her children were born, and very quickly became well-known locally for her colourful paintings of the inspiring Yorkshire countryside, and her endearing images of sheep.

She achieved international recognition when she was chosen as the official artist for the Tour de Yorkshire in 2016. The honour was bestowed again for the following two years, with her cycling images becoming a hugely popular addition to her portfolio of work.

Her first gallery was opened in Brompton on Swale in 2015, and a second gallery in Richmond last year. Lucy’s artistic talent has also been recognised by the Fine Art Trade Guild, naming her the 'UK's Best Up and Coming Artist of the Year' in 2016, followed by the accolade of the 'UK's Most Popular Selling Published Artist' award in 2018.

Lucy is holding a ‘Meet the Artist’ event at the Brompton on Swale Gallery on Saturday, November 17, where you can have your Christmas gifts signed and a personal message added.
