A SOCIAL enterprise founder has launched a new training venture.

Bethany Ainsley is running Nouveau Training Academy, which offers accredited training to professionals who want to help improve the wellbeing of others in their care.

Hartlepool-born Ms Ainsley is known for being at the helm of Nouveau Wellbeing CIC since its foundation in 2008.

However, after identifying a lack of suitable provision for physical fitness to boost health and wellbeing within local communities often suffering from economic and social deprivation, she has made another move.

“I’m all too aware of the pressures entrepreneurs face and how this can affect wellbeing,” said Ms Ainsley, who also helps entrepreneurs manage their wellbeing and that of their employees through a coaching and consultancy operation.

She said: “As the founder of Nouveau Wellbeing CIC, it gives immense satisfaction knowing that the enterprise is achieving great things without being required to be watched over in terms of its day-to-day running.

“This has allowed me to focus on Nouveau Training Academy and my wellbeing coaching and consultancy services.”

The latter focuses on wellbeing support to businesses and individuals, providing online training through a forum.

RTC North, a technology transfer business helping other companies generate growth, is delivering a wellbeing-related volunteering programme to Wearside’s Grace House, with Ms Ainsley’s support.

It includes providing Grace House with its own staff as volunteers for projects such as maintenance and gardening, as well as offering professional skills including marketing and fundraising.

“If companies can take care of their staff by encouraging charitable volunteering and other small acts of kindness, it is a self-fulfilling and positive cycle,” added Ms Ainsley.

Andrew Buckley, chief executive of RTC North, based in Sunderland, said: “We pride ourselves on helping businesses reach their full potential. We do this by being thorough and taking the time to understand every individual business.”
