A WASTE management firm has appointed a new managing director.
Yorwaste Group says Sandy Boyle has taken on the role.
The 47-year-old, who was previously the company’s finance director, succeeds Steve Barker.
Mr Boyle, a qualified accountant who lives in Richmond, North Yorkshire, will have responsibility for driving forward the business, which last year bought Todd Waste Management Group.
“I consider this a real privilege”, said Mr Boyle, who was once general manager of an airside operation at Heathrow Airport.
“I am fortunate to have inherited a good team with decades of experience, and I’d also like to pay tribute to the work Steve did. ”
Yorwaste employs more than 300 people, with its sister company SJB Recycling Limited providing green waste composting services.
