DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012 (AMENDMENT NO. 16), (RESIDENTS PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012 (AMENDMENT NO. 4) AND (ON STREET PARKING PLACES) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012 (AMENDMENT NO. 8) ORDER 2018
Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The Order, which comes into effect on the 11th June 2018, will:-
1. Amend the parts of Victoria Embankment in which there is No Waiting and No Loading/Unloading at any time.
2. Amend the parts of Bedford Street, Leafield Road and Victoria Embankment in which there is No Waiting at any time and to introduce that restriction in part of Roslyn Street
3. Introduce No Waiting Mon-Sat 9am-5pm in part of the west side of Bedford Street
4. Introduce Residents Parking all days 8am-6pm to parts of Grainger Street, Leafield Road, Nelson Terrace and Roslyn Street; and to extend that restriction in Bedford Street, Park Lane and Victoria Embankment. These will be in Zone H.
The charges for permits are £12 for three months; £24 for six months; and £40 for a year. The properties eligible for permits in Zone H will be:- Bedford Street - 1-7, 7a, 9-43, 77,77a odds and 2-88, 94-146 evens Grainger Street - 1-63 odds Leafield Road - 1-23, 29-69 odds and 2-20, 20a, 22-62 evens Nelson Terrace - 1-19 odds and 2-22 evens Park Lane - 73-107 odds and 14-44, 48-94 evens Roslyn Street - 3-39 odds and 2-40 evens 5. Introduce loading bays to the east side of Victoria Embankment - from the northern boundary 2 Victoria Embankment northwards for a distance of 10 metres 6. Introduce 2 hour limited waiting Mon-Sat 9am-5pm in parts of Bedford Street and Victoria Embankment

A copy of the Order may be examined free of charge during the hours of 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive at the Town Hall, Feethams, Darlington. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision of it on the grounds that it is not within the power of the relevant section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or of any requirement of that Act or any enactment made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks from the date of this notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
