(BURNOPFIELD, TANFIELD, OXHILL, SOUTH MOOR, QUAKING HOUSES, SOUTH STANLEY, CRAGHEAD, AND BLOEMFONTEIN) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (CONSOLIDATION NO 1) ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT No 1) ORDER 2018
The County Council of Durham intend to make an Order under
Sections 1, 2 & 4 and Pt. IV of Sch. 9 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to
introduce No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on the west side
of C11 South Moor Road (a) across the access to Memorial
Park for approx. 15m; and (b) across the access to
St Georges Church for approx. 20m. A copy of the draft Order
and supporting documents may be inspected at Stanley library
and at County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours &
via the Council website. Any person wishing to object to the
proposals should send their grounds of objection, in writing,
to Loraine Holding, Legal Assistant, at County Hall, Durham or
by email to Highways.orders@durham.gov.uk (ref: 17706) by
no later than 17/05/18.
(NEWTON DRIVE AREA FRAMWELLGATE MOOR)
(20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2017
The Council on 19/04/18 made an Order under Sections 84
& 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
(“RTRA”), the effect of which becomes operational on 23/04/18
and introduces a 20mph speed Limit on (1) the full lengths of
Carrside, Gray Ave, Kirby Ave, Lund Ave, Lund Crt, Newton
Dr and St Aidan’s Ave and part lengths (including side streets
/ back lanes) of Ashleigh Ave : from a point 13m north west of
its junction with C12 Finchale Rd north westerly for its entire
length; Aykley Rd : from a point 27m north west of its junction
with C12 Finchale Rd north westerly for its entire length; and
Finchale Rd (fronting numbers 26-31) : from its junction with
Ashleigh Ave south westerly for its entire length. Full details are
contained in the sealed Order which may be viewed at Newton
Hall library & County Hall, Durham during normal opening
hours and via the council website. Any person wishing to
question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained
in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred
by the “RTRA”, or that any requirement of that Act or of any
regulation made under it has not been complied with, within
6 weeks from 26/04/18, apply to make an application for that
purpose to the High Court.
(SOUTH BAILEY, DURHAM CITY)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council on 19/04/18 made an Order under Section 14
(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to
close to all vehicular traffic a 130 mtr length of South Bailey
between nos 2 & 8 South Bailey, Durham by reason of telecom
duct installation works to be undertaken. The max. duration
of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is
required from Mon. 30/04/18 and for the duration of the works
anticipated to be 6 weeks (between 9.00 am & 6.00 pm per
day). However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closure
may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. There is
no alternative route available.
