(FOOTPATH BETWEEN STATION ROAD (B6308 DELVES LANE) & WEAR STREET, CONSETT) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all pedestrian traffic a 110 mtr length of the footpath between Station Rd (B6308) Delves Lane (Citizens House) and Wear St., Consett by reason of demolition and new construction works to be undertaken adjacent to the footpath. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 6 months and is required from 08/01/18 for 6 months. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: from the western side of the closure from Station Rd (B6308 Delves Lane) northwards to Sherburn Terr. then easterly to Wear St. then southerly to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH STOPPING UP ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14 THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (UNREGISTERED FOOTPATHS AT THE FORMER 'INN ON THE GREEN', WALDRIDGE PARISH) PUBLIC PATH STOPPING UP ORDER 2016

On 23/11/17, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to stop up the unregistered footpaths running from a point on Waldridge Road, proceeding in a generally westerly then south westerly direction past the former Inn to the junction of Footpaths Nos 21 and 26 at the edge of Waldridge Fell and from a point on Public Footpath No 22 Waldridge, north west of Waldridge Road proceeding in a generally south westerly direction to join the first unregistered path adjacent to the former Inn, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen at Chester-le-Street library and the Council's Offices at County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the Council website free of charge. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.15. This order came into force on 23/11/17 but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 ofthe Town and County Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
